Oh I do like when we are able to correct you Innuendo! hahaha!!! Sorry stirring the pot ;)

    Your close to correct ;)

the lower the k the yellower the light. You normal headlight globes are around the 3000k. The standard white globes you can get claim to be around the 4000k. I would say more around the 3500-3700k.

First level HID is normally 4000k. Which is normal light. Most people get 6000k. (this is what I have used in MANY cars) Its a very white light. Its close to blue. (depending on what brand you buy)

8000k is blue. Looks like crap!

You then have Xenon (high or low beam only) and Bi-Xenon. (these are high and low beam in one globe)

    Watt raitings.
A 35W low beam HID is about the same as 60w normal.
55W is good for a high beam in headlights. Or low beam if you have projector headlights. (they wont flood the other drivers so much but will still fry the bugs on the road)

When it comes to spotties. If you look hard enough there is 100w HID kits for spotties. I fitted some 100w into the standard headlights on my 80 series landcruiser when I had it. Mate it was bright!!!! (I didn't need standard spotlights)

Yup, your right. I had it back to front and typed it up wrong. I never have a problem admitting I got something wrong.
