HZ sandman van, opaline blue on ebay

Hello all.

This is Jason here, I purchased the Van in question on e bay. Have not picked it up yet and will try and verify its originality before handing over the money. I have been chasing something half decent for a year or so.

I have a photo of the tag off the Sandman. On it is the following. If someone wants I can e mail it to them.

I think thats what it all is.


Can someone assist with its originality please.

Hi Jason, welcome to the site and good buy!

Have a look through http://mysandman.com.au/ident.html might be able to assist you further.

Need more info that just the Body plate info. The ADR plate details are important to, as are a few other items.

• Does the ADR plate say 2 Seat Capacity?
• What is the GVW in kg displayed on the ADR plate?
• What numbers are displayed on the glove box lid tyre placard sticker (bottom right corner).
• Does it have the full headlining attachment strip behind the upper tailgate (shark tooth strip).
• Does it have the headlining attachment strips along the top internal wall brace?
• Does it have the internal light door switches in place?

Having the above is by no means a guarantee, but iif it is all original it most likely is a Sandman.

If you get more photos and details post them up so we can help you out.

The plate info provided says that it's;

• Commercial (not Kingswood) panel van.
• Opaline Blue paint
• 18V Black trim
• 308 with 4 speed

So the list is good so far.
I'm sure Absinth or a couple other forum gurus will be here when they knocks off work and will tell you it's legit. :Chin:

Definately 100% a Sandman.... 18V (slate black) trim code confirms it...congrats Jason on your purchase at a very reasonable price.... if the seller had advertised it better and posted up the tag details I reckon it would have gone for a lot more.....
