HZ sandman van, opaline blue on ebay

I am no expert but I thought HX had black mirrors and HZ had colour coded ones Jennie.

I suppose most sandmans are bittsas put back together just like my ute will be (unless you are lucky and find one like Rod and Jennie in original condition

).

It just depends how much effort you put in to finding the bits and how ridgy didge you want it.

Because skid, everybody wanted to change vans to statesman, that was all the blokes in the day talked about, and most were in various stages of molestation when the van craze died....we were lucky enough to find one which wasn't (our red van) but the yellow van is so wrong it is frustrating....:errf:

come on guys enough criticism that is a very nice looking van so what the dash needles arent yellow or the bottom half of the dash is missing if you want an unmolested van buy a time machine cause there arent many left....... except jennies

i dont see any criticising here..just honest answers to skids question as to whats not right...

personally if your paying good bucks and you dont have the knowledge then asking whats wrong is the right thing to do..
there is a sucker born every minute for a dishonest seller to take advantage of..;)

The question was asked by someone who was interested in buying the van. I dont give a rats if its original or not. As I said I thought it was a nice looking van also. It shanks me off when I have answered a question and then get taken to task over my response.
It is not criticism, it is stating what is not original on the van. If i said it was a complete sh%%tbox then that would be criticism.
I have no idea if its good or bad, there are some fairly ordinary photos on ebay and how could anyone know without actually looking at it for real?

So what if it's a nice looking van....... it is advertised as a genuine HZ Sandman in RARE Opaline blue and 95% complete.......

There is nothing in the advertisement to back up that it is Actually a genuine Sandman, the seller is advertising it for a friend...... Seller won't answer messages and friend is not answering the phone number supplied...... SUS......

Opaline blue is not a rare colour...... the van may be 95% complete as a car but it is no where near 95% complete as a Sandman....

No one is criticising the van by answering a question asking what is not correct with it..... only a fool would fork out big dollars for a "Genuine Sandman" and then ask what is incorrect on it..... only to find out they have an extra $6000 or so to spend replacing incorrect parts..... Smart buyers do their research first and bid with their eyes open....

As far as I'm concerned..... someone advertising a car as "genuine" who won't post pictures of the ID plates is trying to hide something.... What is the big secret about ID info??????

Yeah.... it's not a bad looking van..... but it is not a genuine 95% complete HZ Sandman...
