Sorry to hear about your mate Byron, had the same at work the other day. Safety guy went on R&R with his wife to Cairns, went for a morning swim and had a heart attack, he was 54 I think.
I spent 23 years as a front line firefighter and saw some terrible, tragic stuff and it makes you realise that life is far too short.
I always used to think when I went to the incidents with people coming/ going to work. That person said goodbye to the family not knowing it was the last time they would ever see each other again.
Remember the god times guys, the joy these people brought to your lives, continue that joy and leave great memories for those you love.
