Thanks Flamenco_not_Flamingo. That's good advice to pass on to everyone, my father said a similar thing to me when only a youngster. I don't think I would have made it to age or where I am now with out punching through life trials and getting up and to be hit again. Friends and family are the key, there is always someone that will be there or say the right thing to trigger you back to reality.

Sorry also for your wife's illness Ski Pilot, I hope life improves for you both.
Always been a glass ½ full person and that make it easier to accept and move on, I think there is to much talk about ½ cup empty in the world to day. I have not been into social media, Could be due to not growing up with it or not being able to keep up the technology, I still prefer to human to human contact. There has been much stated on the down side of it but there is some good if you just need someone or are open to others point of view and able to get frustations etc out.. Expressing your feelings or problems was not the done thing when I was growing up and is still sometimes frowned on but it does help if you can get out. Just find someone.

Sorry to hear about your mate Byron, had the same at work the other day. Safety guy went on R&R with his wife to Cairns, went for a morning swim and had a heart attack, he was 54 I think.

I spent 23 years as a front line firefighter and saw some terrible, tragic stuff and it makes you realise that life is far too short.
I always used to think when I went to the incidents with people coming/ going to work. That person said goodbye to the family not knowing it was the last time they would ever see each other again.

Remember the god times guys, the joy these people brought to your lives, continue that joy and leave great memories for those you love.

    Makes you wonder sometimes.
tis a curious life we live, sux when this happens, and this always takes me back to DR Chris O'Brien story, the man spent the best part of his life helping and curing people with cancer of the head and neck, only to succumb to it himself without enjoying much of it himself.. my folks are in their late 70's both retired early and although both have their health issues, travel regularly and are away 6-7 mths of the year and are about to set of to NYC once again after just returning from hong kong and china, and my mothers motto is "cover the earth before it covers you" and never a truer word spoken, so we must enjoy whist we can
godspeed your mate Byron, whether he was a car guy or not
