Wanted Upper Tailgate

I know it's a lot of work. My panel beater said to do it properly it would be a lot of work. I have been looking for a while and am still following a a few leads. Amazingly years ago they were everywhere.

It is always the way.... When I moved from north of Newcastle to Sydney a couple of years back I had two I couldn't even give away. I even asked around on here and no one wanted either one. One was in excellent condition which had already been unpicked and treated internally and was as straight as a die.

Sorry mate, ended up scrapping them, along with a heap of other really good stuff that I now wished I'd been able to keep.

ok my panel beater is fixing a hq pano for a bloke the van owner has a spare 1 with the same amount of rust as shown in yours he can fix that for 300 plus the owner may want 100 for it hopeing to have answer soon ringing around tmrw cheers

Found one today.
Long story. My wife found a Show n Shine on Facebook in Toowoomba. I dropped her off shopping while I looked at the cars. Some nice ones there. I got talking to Jeff who has a Sandman. He knows davegmh, micks sandman and Flamenco.
I mentioned that I was looking for an upper tailgate and he said there is one over there in the swap meet section. Over I went, had a look and did a deal. It's been sitting in a shed for about 15 years. Painted green but genuine colour underneath is yellow. Looks to be in a lot better condition than mine.
Thanks to rocky, Famenco, Vombil and Valencia for looking for me and offering alternatives.
Just goes to show if you don't talk to people you don't find out stuff - also the wife is always right. By the way she did heaps of shopping.

good to hear you found one. a mate got a fiberglass upper gate. they look good but dont have a place to fix the locking rods to close the gate.
