National Automotive Service Company......but what the tag is off I couldn't tell you.
Disclaimer: I am not an expert.
It is a replacement coupe shell body in white, most likely a HQ but also could be a HJ. There were some of these still for sale within GMH in 1980. You could buy a HJ coupe shell p/n 9932645 for $600 as a runout to clear such stuff. They normally put the part number on them as the body number but I have seen them like this before at some stage. See if you can find out what it is on and if the shell has a number on the firewall above the heater box.
Car is a hq gts coupe, factory black exterior and black interior, 308 and 4 speed, am awaiting a reply on the firewall number
It can't be factory black or black trim or GTS or even 308 and 4spd, that body plate is off a bare shell sold as a spare part as a body in white (bare steel covered in white protectant). Does the car have other plates or a chassis number?
I will get back to on that and some numbers thanks
I asked Ben and he said that tag originated on a spare part HJ coupe shell (which are all Pagewood bodies) - there were supposedly 6 of them made. Last time he saw this tag it was on a HQ coupe which it sounds like it still is. Maybe someone repaired a HQ coupe with a spare part HJ coupe shell?
Are the tags of the damaged original shell available?
I saw this too, from memory it was an additional tag on the car and it also had the other 3 tags with engine, colour ,trim codes etc
