Is this a sandman

The van I'm looking at comes with a replacement section for the sunroof. I'm hoping the rest of the shell is in good shape. The seller tells me it is. My van hasn't seen the road since 1996 so I'm keen to get it mobile again.

Sorry for if this sounds dumb, so the sunroof hole can have a piece welded in? is there a problem with the heat warping the roof??? the reason I ask is the sandman we got recently has rust along the gutters and at the back of the van the rust goes up the roof about a 100mm or so, I showed a panelbeater and he suggested getting another roof as the roof would warp when he welded up away from the gutter. Does that sound right??? will try to post some pics to get your opinions, Thanks in advance for your help, cheers Mark
