HZ statesman loom to GTS dash conversion

Hey guys,

I'm sure this gets thrown up a lot but ive been told there are a couple of wires that are different going from the standard / statesman dash wiring loom to the GTS dash that if they are wrong bad things happen (fire) does anyone know which ones they are? I have a gts dash to put in my hz van, but it didn't come with a wiring loom, and we are using a dash loom from a hz statesman as it was the donor car I got the 308 and lots of other bits from, just need to get the dash wiried up right so we can get it driving.

It's not a bomb. If you connect a live wire to a dead short you get smoke and fried wires in any electrical setup.
As far as I know the two harness' are similar but not really the best way of doing it. You just end up with a butchered mess that someone will curse you for.
Find the correct harness to suit which ever sports dash you have. There are a few variations with small but important differences.
Do you know which dash you have??

yeah a HZ yellow needle gts dash, if someone knows those differences that would be a huge help in fixing it up as soon as we (me and mechanic friend) know what the different wires are we can sort it out.

It's just basic auto electrics. If you need to ask which wires are different I tend to think it will be quicker, cheaper and better to buy a loom for $150. Add up the 4 hours of your time making it work.
