hj sanndman ute ???

hey guys was looking at this hj ute for sale not sure if sandman or not with the build date and the gvm at 2200
has full gts interior including console gts guards gts wheels headlight surounds are silverImage 4.jpg

My hx sandman ute is 2200 kgs I can't work out what alters this figure if anyone can explain it would be good
I am no expert the hj ute is N coded which is a kingswood and being a later built ute in hj it maybe a kingswood ,later hj sandmans were not kingswoods what ever it is it would still be a nice ute

Hi Beachy, 2200kgs was standard GVM on commercials HJ/HX (vans I know and possibly utes) which was for standard commercial tyres. The sandman pack came with passenger tyres which reduced this to 1950kgs for vans 1860kgs for utes I think. But you could option your sandman with the commercial tyres hence the normal 2200kgs, this was then known as a sandman XU3 option.

As far as kingswood in HJ, I believe it was available through HJ on utes, even though it has been said on here that late ones are rare or barely turn up.

Thanks for that ,I am happy that 2200kgs has always confused me would it then have had a standard tyre card on the glovebox lid mine is missing

Mid 75 all gvw dropped to 1860 kg in xx7 utes so i believe.
