The thing the pisses me off in the building game is people who class themselves as a tradesman but never successfully completed an apprenticeship. That's impossible.

If they do a good job then I'd rather them over the guy who completed his apprenticeship and f@*ks everything he touches.

That's true. It's also true that there are also plenty of wankers out there that are not tradesmen but in their own lunchtime they think they are and f@*k up everything they touch too. I get around your problem by only using qualified tradesmen who do know what they are doing. Problem solved. Again, only people who successfully complete an apprenticeship are tradesmen.
