XU4 was never 2000kg. It was only ever 1950kg.

2000kg didn't come out until late HZ. early HZ XX7 was still 1950kg. As was the XU4's.

As per Blocker's post, it is all about the tyres. Traditionally Tyres distinguished normal or lower GVM. I am unsure why late HZ XX7 went up to 2000 as opposed to 1950 for earlier vehicles (including in HZ) . You could be right if for instance the Sandman (as a whole) was re-rated 50kg more than a standard commercial with the same driveline- on account of what?- front spoiler??
