Quaddie Air Cleaner

How about this from a Pontiac GTO ?
I bought one in a while ago but haven't fitted it as yet.
Kind of expensive though once you convert to US $ and then add shipping!

Off a 69 to 71 ran that air cleaner or close enough

Don't mean to hijack the thread BUT... what is the best size air cleaner that will fit under the bonnet of HX 308 with std quaddie keeping in mind that I need to fit those darned breather pipes as well cheers

Any after market air cleaner will fit to suit i was running a recessed chrome 14inch air cleaner for more clearance under the bonnet i am running a Holley though

Yeah, 2 1/2" 2 3/4" or even 3" should fit but you need a recessed base and a lid that doesn't come to a point.

Just watch that the after market filter doesn't flex and not seal. I have seen some that are nice and shinny silver but let dirt into the engine beautifully as well.

Still fits on Rochester without hole in bonnet, but it JUST misses at the front.
Large wingnut isn't an issue because the bonnet has a recess above it.
