wow i was just looking thru this thread and noticed this aquarius van sat RIGHT behind mine on the production line, the vin number and body number are one didgit at the end each different, mine being
Vin - 8M70RGL369616X
Body -220823A
1914-60A
568-17778
1950KG - SEAT2

By the chassis number it was completed a fair while earlier than yours. If I remember tomorrow i'll check them both out and report back.

Thread dig, but wondering how this van is going as it's the same paint/trim combo as mine.

Love this colour as i have done a replica in the same colour with the DX5 stripes.

Agreed, it's a nice combo the Aquarius with the DX5 stripes. The chamois trim goes well with it too.

I just don't like the Hx grille.

It is actually a correct grille for a HX Holden van, just not correct for HX Sandman as it gets a HX GTS grille with Kingswood badge.

Hi guys long time no speak. been absolutely flat out with work and racing , which I suppose isn't a bad thing. yeah its a long project I don't plan on doing any short cuts through this build. do it once do it right. its so good to see the progress others have made.

Now I have a interesting one for you guys out there. ive come across a hx panelvan through some contacts and went and had a look at the van this weekend. it is a little rusty but everything is fixable. and of course had a look at the plates. its l32 m20 gv7 with 60a interior buckets and gts dash. and the owner got the car from a relative who bought it brand new and ordered it as a sandman. but heres the thing its a kingswood. ?? im stuck because I have the chance to buy it but then am reluctant to coz its a kingswood van and the information on here states no kingswoods where sandmans. some hints and ideas would be great.
