There are ways of knowing where the car is built via the tags and this is the information that Ben goes by. Production records were kept; it's just that some were lost or destroyed.
I do know that Ben is using Byron at times to complete searches on Sandmans. Collative information by enthusiasts closes gaps and completes information in some cases.
The records possibly don't say "Sandman" but when the information is put together it is proved to be a Sandman and a confident report can be issued.
Innuendo doesn't it say XU3 at the top first line
model option 8WM70 XU3?
or is that referring to something else????

I totally missed that. I read the 2200kg at the bottom and thought that would be the appropriate place to mention it.

Cool, thanks for posting that up. Yours is obviously a confirmed Sandman due to the 18v interior. Curious as to what you would get with something like the van at the beginning of this thread where the tags neither confirm or deny Sandman status.
Would this normally tell you if it had other options fitted as well or is this pretty much about it???
