Does anyone know what gearbox a 5L WB commercial ran?
I know the Series 1 Statos had a Turbo350 and I think the Series 2 fell back to a Trimatic. I was wondering if the commercials got the T350 in a 5l at any time.

WB commercials never got a 308 mate.

ok... so you couldn't get one at all.

T350 is listed as a Statesman only option in the WB parts catalogue.
There were a very limited amount with 5 litre. Dr Terry owned a one tonner with a L31 from the factory. Hence an L31 WB commercial is the rarest Holden about.
Not sure. Guess either traumatic or Aussie 4 speed. Sure dr terry could tell you.
My milkman back in 1984 had a black WB one-tonner with a 308/Turbo 350 from new. They were obviously able to be ordered if you knew the right person, or a few were made using surplus bits, but they definitely did exist. From my recollection of my conversations with the milkman (and there were many!), he ordered it that way. I remember a full instrument dash, console and GTS steering wheel as well.
Just because a catalogue doesn't show a certain thing as an option, it doesn't mean you couldn't get it.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
I have only heard of one tonners. Wonder if any others got them.
GTS dash was not an issue to order. Most Kingswoods got them.
