HQ Sandman identification

Hi guys, help needed please.
Can anyone tell me on the ID plates for a HQ sandman how do you know if it's a v8 or 6? Is the engine code on the plate meant to be blank on the HQ's? If it is blank is there anyway to deciphere between a 6 or 8 cylinder?

if your model no on your right tag is hq80480(kingswood)hq80270 (belmont) for van or 80 for ute and your eng code isn't stamped its a 253 if it's hq80170 or hq80180 (ute)it's a six.
