So a couple of months ago. Drive my HSV GTO coupe to Melbourne from SA. (via Mildura). Got to around Sea Lake it was about 9pm so just got dark. Id been scraping to road every bump. (I have skid plates I made on my exhaust..... yes its low....). An on coming car didn't dim his high beams. I though gee that was rude. Next car comes along and I was still grumpy about the last wanker. I flashed him because they were again VERY bright. he flashed back to say that he already has them on low. I in my wisdom though that it was a good idea to flash him again as we crossed path. Not the smartest thing I did. Just after he went past yep the flashing lights come on. I will admit it went through my mind.... boot it......lol... well I didn't. I jammed on the skids. pulled over in the long grass to hide the fact it was so low. thank god it didn't cash alight! Then killed the engine very quickly (its very highly modified) and jumped out the car with my wallet and stood at the back of the car hoping that the copper wouldn't go over it.
The copper I could see the smoke coming from his head the second he got out of his car screaming and yelling and calling me all sorts of names! He was the worked up with the fact I flashed him that he didn't even look at my GTO. Thank god! Would have had a field day! Anyhow after a coupld of checks and a heap more screaming and me saying oh sorry sir yes I was in the wrong. He jumped back in his car and booted it off. Giving me just a warning.

So things learnt there... higher cars than the GTO will have bright lights because im sitting on the ground lol. Also don't get grumpy and flash coppers!

2 days later in melb. I was pulled over again. During the day. Because my rego showed up cancelled in VIC. (it was regoed in SA with same slogan number plates) so it checked out ok. But they decided to grab their wheels on a stick and roll it under the car. I thought oh here we go... It went under the side skit just. I was shoked!!! I mist have parked on a good angle! Then clunk. when he hits the exhaust. The nice copper said your exhaust is to low mate. My reply was oh bugger the exhaust rubbers must have broken. Ill zip into supercheap auto and get some new ones. His reply was oh yes that's a good idea. Then they jumped back in their car and off they went. Again a close one. I checked the rubbers after they left and yep they were fine lol...

neither one wanted the bonnet opened or the car started! quite lucky!

GTO has hardly left the shed since! Car show this weekend though!
