Strange that if they had better brakes that not everyone has recommended fitting WB brakes when rebuilding a earlier series. As far as I know the only difference would be metric sizing rather than imperial. Could be wrong though. That would explain the different master cylinder size. If it's different. Shame HK isn't on here anymore.
No,it's a myth. Just thread change. Same as HZ for callipers.
