    Rust Removal

After trying the molasses rust removal method,

I have gone a little high tech and moved on to the electrolysis method of rust removal using a battery chrger.

I got hold of a Bulka bin, IBC, 1000L Pod, which ever term you prefer. I cut the top out and then welded some grid mesh together to form a square.
Placed the grid inside the bin to form a field and filled the bin with water and washing soda, (dont use baking soda), about a cup per gallon.
I then setup an eye bolt through some hardwood and I was ready to go.

Here is the same rim after 24hrs in the tank.

I then gave the radiator support a go.

All I did was pressure wash them when i got them out of the tank. Stripped rust, paint and everything else.
Works a treat. Now just need to find something to take a whole car!
