    Sorry to say it but I think some of you guys are confusing your selfs on what
    is and is not a genuine thing .
    This is from wombat and Jason on another van

    Seating 2 - Sandman seat capacity
    GVW 2155kg -
    HX XX7 sandman's V8 GVW all were 1950kg
    HX XU4 was introduced (non sandman but derated GVW for sedan tyres) 6cyl 1850kg
    HX XU4 was introduced (non sandman but derated GVW for sedan tyres) V8 1950kg
    HX XU3 sandman's V8 all were 2200kg
    HX 6cyl all were 2155kg
    HX non sandman's V8 all were 2200kg (Thanks Jason)

    All honesty I think most vans at some stage have been toyed with over the last
    40yrs or so and nobody knows if if some are a genuine thing
    Numbers maybe close but with dealer fitments/deletes special orders no one will actually know
    Even the numbers on my own van say it could be ,But I know for a fact that it's not

    Any particular statement you feel is confusing? While this information up there is good, in this case it doesn't help at all. It could theoretically be the rarer XU3 variant, but it could just be a standard V8. Bolt in bits aren't good identifiers but some of the overlooked details like the wheel winch or black door handles can make positive identification more likely.
