Has anyone spoken to hk/Byron who knows him personally about his moving away from the my sandman furum he is a huge loss and someone should try to get him back shorely it would not be that hard it seemed to be something he was very passionate about I would like to get his contact details if someone has them
I suggest you contact Blocker. I'm not sure anyone is at liberty to pass on his contact details without prior consent.

I don't want to rock the boat or open any old wounds, but what happened to cause him to leave (or don't we know)? It seems to me that one day he was here and then the next he was gone. Obviously something serious happened that I'm not aware of. Could it not be sorted out?

He has his reasons for moving on but in short there were a couple of people with an agenda who thought it to be a great idea to see how annoying they could be toward someone who gave freely of his time to help others. Unfortunately for the mod team none of us had the slightest idea it was happening (none of us are conversant in chainsaws and had no idea there was a shitstirring in progress) and basically missed the whole thing until the damage had been done.Originally Posted by Big Rob

It is not for me to say, it is for Byron to comment on, I too have been in contact with him and he has stated to me that he wont be back any time soon.
It is like Tally said, I personally believe that his extensive knowledge and helpful nature was not being appreciated by some members of the forum. So rather than continually engage in fruitless, pointless arguments and contradictions he decided to leave.
A great loss to all of the current and future members of this great site. A site that has been built by the dedication and love of a group of like minded people.
Here, as in life, the majority must pay for the acts of the minority.
His input is and will be sorely missed.

It looks like Byron has taken a step back from all the forums, he hasn't been active on AussieV8 since November last year and I tried to find his GTS Monaro site but it looks like that is not being updated. It is such a shame that he has been put in this situation, I just hope he is alright and that those here who know him personally keep in touch with him and make sure he knows that not all forum users are arseholes.
