Yes, the stock auto floor shift will work with a stock bench seat all the way back
My HZ ute had that setup, until a TH400 column shift setup was found

If you need to slide the seat forward, then you can't shift back to low :o)

So just throw a bench in for the trip, and then put the buckets back afterwards
