    StGeorge Insturments actually pulled my gauges down .
    Replaced the bimetallic strip & rewound the windings ,so you wouldn't even know they have been repaired.
    But I guess with modern technology it's easier to use modern parts.
    The old style windings these days would be a dying if not dead trade ,like most old fashioned trades.
    An ashame really...

    Neil I agree that it's a shame the old trades are dying, being a bit older I appreciate the skill some tradesmen had before you could google everything

    My GTS is not concourse so I am happy to have electronics in it, hey a bit of the 21st century isn't too bad.

    After the thread on the vintage air in the HJ ute i'm pretty keen on that tooooo, stuff the cumbersome inefficient stock stuff.
