Hi All. Well i've stumbled across the answer to a dilemma on how to disassemble a WB Caprice Electric Wing Mirror without breaking it. The key was to discover that the mirror assembly is off a Cadillac, which led to some research and a resolve. The magic is to heat the mirror until it releases from the adhesive pads behind. This then makes the rest of it fairly obvious to disassemble so you can get the body off for re-chroming or service the motor mechanism behind.
