Really need to put up pictures of the tags, as it stands you have a Brisbane built van with Brisbane tags for an XX7 Sandman but the VIN tag is off a Brisbane built ute. The 1950 GVM is correct for an early HZ, the H in the vin is correct for a 78 model HZ, remember that the MODEL YEAR is what is referred to not the actual year of manufacture. 1978 model year ran from 9/77 to 8/78. It could be as simple as a mistake on the vin tag or it could be much more and the car has no true identity, does the chassis rail match the chassis number on the tags?. There are too many questions to simply answer with the available information. Jason Ruff, who told you that a body swap is acceptable?
