My sister got pulled over in Bungendore and got her Plastic ACT personalized number plates confiscated because they weren't "official issue". Apparently the colour didn't look right. They were official issue of course, I picked them up myself. Still took a couple days to get them back and it was only that quick cause a mate of mine was good buddies with the Hwy patrol officer and told him he'd f$&@ed up.
my mate copped a $1000 fine when he got picked up for using unofficial plates on his Monaro reason being that they cant be picked up by the new mobile plate detectors
I was replying to Maysik about his "stick one on the wall" post with my comment about getting some made by the bloke at the summernats. Sorry about that confusion..... I was not condoning the use of illegal plates on the road.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
