    Metal A pillar covers

Not totally Sandman specific, but, when did the changeover from metal A pillar covers to plastic occur? I was sorting out some boxes of stuff to take to a swap meet in a couple of weeks and found what I thought was an extra set of HQ A pillar covers, I put them next to my other HQ ones and realized they were different. When I put them next to a set of HZ plastic ones they were the same, so I was wondering when the change over occurred.

One of your HQ sets isn't for a coupe is it? Or were they just different shapes?

No both my HQ sets are from my ute and my wagon, the other metal ones are the same as the HZ plastic ones. I just pulled them out of a box and as they were metal put them with the HQ ones.

They are definitely HQ to WB A pillar covers, the difference between HQ and later ones is the bottom ends where they meet the dash pad, the shape is different for the different dash pads.

HJ had a different profile across the top of the dash so a different length/shape between Q and J for the same pillar.
