i think the HX HZ stripes look great, but when teamed up with GTS guards IMHO the package looks too busy ( the swap meet car look with bits of everything). Maybe consider deleting putting the side small "SANDMAN" logo on the guards or B pillar. Just my opinion.!

Yep.... They should never have dropped the GTS guards. Even with the HX/Z stripe they work, just with no Sandman sticker.

I bought it painted that colour ...I added the stripes and wheels and did some motor mods

How hard is it too get hold of a HJ console .
Some peanut pulled out the console and cut the brackets off the floor to install a B&M shifter....
Still got the front bit, but is pretty average!

they come up fairly regularly on EBay, problem is postage if you don't live near by.... This one is a good buy and even the correct colour of 60v.

I think it should be tan colour..... Need to post trim tag, but can't post photos from IPad .....

I'm guessing the same guy that cut off the console brakets, also went to town with the black vinyl colour as well, as the dash, what's left of the console, door trims have all been defaced!

I think it may change at some stage but early was chamois/covert I believe. You need to work out(or someone could tell you) what colour the console was.
Most likely it was changed to black as some of th 70's trim colours dated badly. They had great paint choices but trim always seems to date quickly.

Change to HZ appearance is no worries. Most people updated to the latest in the series as time went on anyway. Everyone converted to WB fronts and lights and now are going back to earlier series on WB. Fashion trends in cars hey.
