HJ disguised as a HZ

Not correct James. HJ console has the lift up lid and a storage compartment at the front..... HX/HZ does have a compartment at the front but it is shorter and won't fit the HJ lift up lid. You can fit a HJ shifter surround and lid to a HX/HZ console but it doesn't look right.

So HJ has a completely unique console and surround? I have not heard that before.

The HJ lift up lid version console is different.... However... What confuses people is the HJ lift up lid style is also correct for HX and HZ Statesman with T bar auto. It was also optional in HX and HZ with T bar auto.
