True, the Historic rego scheme has some questionable vehicles, but not as bad as some of the blatantly illegal cars on the Victorian one. I've seen blown, tubbed, race cars on Victorian H plates! Pick up almost any copy of "Street machine" and you'll see a car show or event with cars on H-plates that would never pass rego inspection.

But I guess that's not the point of this topic... I just reckon the sooner the new Mod Classic scheme starts, the better.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!

It's the old proverb: "give a man an inch & he will take a mile".

In NSW, modified vehicles are not allowed at all, but as we've discussed many (of one sort or another) have sneaked under the radar.

In Victoria legally modified cars are allowed (as they will with the upcoming modified scheme), but as can be seen many have taken this to ridiculous lengths & are virtually putting race cars onto the street.

It makes you wonder how our new system will be handled.

The RTA (or whatever they are called now) usually have an accredited list.
It should be on their website.

See this link for list of current engineer's or licensed certifiers as they call them now.

    http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/documents/...certifiers.pdf

I have used John at Consulmotive for certificates on vehicles that I have been involved in modifying at work (truck bodies and bus gear) and found him easy to deal with regarding those sorts of mods.
