Just don't do stupid things like cut holes in the floor for some stupid oversized gearbox, or to fit Commodore seats or doof doof speakers. I reckon there would be nothing cooler than an original looking HJ Sandman ute or van that has an injected, stroked 5 litre in it (with QT engine number), 4L60 box, original diff, widened 15" GTS rims, power steer, factory HJ-WB A/C and original looking interior albeit with hidden modern sound and cruise control. No-one would do this to an untouched car, but why not do it to yours? It'll cost you about the same as a concours attempt and be much easier!
