Buy a VW, I've heard they have lots of power for very little emissions

It's a transfer box or case. It's another gearbox.

Perhaps easier resale because people know they keep going even when second hand.
Lower purchase price for a Jeep sure doesn't stack up against the higher purchase price for a Toyota Prado at trade in time.

If it has electronic shift on the fly it uses an electric actuator to engage the transfer case.

Its a fairly simple thing to cost $1700 dollars. Mazda is as bad as Toyota for spare parts. Possibly able to get an after market one, its only a linear actuator.

My F250 has ESOF and I hate it. Im looking at converting it to the old gear shift lever, as ive had to replace the GEM module the actuator and the switch over the last 18 months. Gear stick works 100% of the time.

Would love to weigh into this debate, but of all the threads, started by all the members, you had to derail this one?

I bet Blockers "ban hammer" finger is starting to get a bit itchy.

Just looked at my transfer case motor and it is not linear. It has to rotate almost 300 degrees to engage 4L. Just makes it that bit harder to convert.
