hj sandman ute maybe?

hi guys just scored a maybe sandman ute shell stripped to the max and was heading to the crushers got a mate who picks up wrecks to look for certain numbers he turned up with

body is fixable but maybe to far gone unless its something worth while
it had console bracket at some stage but have been ground off

19V is a pretty good indicator on a commercial HJ, but 1976 build would usually have the derated GVM(?)

At the moment it's just a commercial ute body built in Dandenong, so nothing worthwhile.

there still were XU3 76 build HJ's. Its just the derated 76 HJ's got a unique placard.

Maybe consider the police chassis number as the major number instead of the tags. Just a thought.

haha I will expand on what WB is saying. ;)

Its a bugger the chassis is not original. Reason being is it puts doubt in peoples mind that maybe the tags are not original for the car. The question gets raised has the tags been taken from another car and fitted to yours. Has is been in a crash and the chassis needed replacing. hence the number. Was it stolen and recovered with the chassis number ground off.

Having a non matching chassis does always damage the "genuine" sandman name...
