    hi all started gutting the sandman out and started on the front apone ripping the carpet up i turned it over and found these numbers

    C.56749

    HX
    F this is circaled

    dose any one now what these mean
    i also have found original paint under the seats deaville blue matallic paint
    confuming more that it's original sandman
    have not come across any papper work from the factory yet

    Why dont you post some pictures of the plates from the vehicle and pictures of the number for someone to see... might make it easier?

    easy to do just use the piccy icon at the top of the reply.

    Hey mate, sorry this one slipped through.

    Are the markings on the back of the carpet or on the body? Can you provide a photo, it might help by jogging someone's memory... or you have found something that has not been found by others???

    this is what i found under the carpet
    have not found anything else yet but i still have to pull the passanger seat out yet so ya never know

    It appears there is no answer for you :errf:

    The HX is obvious, but the numbering could mean anything most likely a batch number or line code for the car it was going in. It may relate to a build sheet number.. I just don't know.

    However the more we find of these and put pieces together then we might find out.

    prety sure knox carpet had a number on them like that. Did they supply holden as well as aftermarket?

    Could the F relate to it being the front carpet section! I'm not sure wether the front carpets sections in sedans and wagons were the same for Vans and utes! Might have just been an indicator mark for the trim line to easily identify the right bits!

    thanks guy's if i find anything else i will post it up. been a bit lazy still have to get the passanger seat out the werst thing is i have had to grind the tops of the bolts to get the seats out
    still have to pull the dash out so there still may be something there
