lookin at your floors and the right pillar i would think that she will be pg13ed in the chambers as well..quickest fix for that is a front cut..you can use a front cut from any car or wagon or ute or van..all the same within small bits hjxz...panelbeater job but..but in saying that its not a hard job for an old school beater and shouldnt be too expensive as stripped vehicles..1k to 2 k plus a front cut which should be able to be found for around $495..you want to see any front cut bare before you buy it tho as you could end up with the same probs..what area you in?

    in melbourne altona
i have no idea what i am doing so any help would be great even if it means getting the car cut and ready to be welded for someone how knows what there doing
i would think it would be easyer to just get a hole front end of another panelvan and weld it onto mine but i have no idea of what it would cost to do a job like that
then i also have to do both side sils there is a fare bit of rust in her so if i could get it cut out for a panelbeater or someone of the like to do it i hope it would cut the cost down
any help would be much apreceated as this is my first go at fixing up a car

if the rest of the van is in fairly good order why the pg13 would you bother trying to chase a body?..front cuts are simple and anyone with a basic understanding of welding and how to play with a meccano set can do it..

Although you would still need a van roof section to fix where that sunroof and rustroof are. I'd just be doing a rebody as well. Was there any nasty stuff at the back?

Just wondering? I have read debates about re bodying a Sandman and the discussion that its not going to be as original because the tags have to be removed and refitted. Is it the same thinking for an original Sandman that needs a front cut.

    Thats all!
