    i know what you are all saying and thats what i keep telling every one i know but they all keep saying go for another shell but a HX is not easy to come across thses days
    every know and then i have seen them come up for sale but i have never thought about it and now knowing it is a genuine sandman i realy realy want to do it
    i gess it all just a waiting game now

    Changing a shell sounds easy, but from experience it can be a absolute ball breaker if your trying to do it yourself at home.....

    Have done both & many hours stressing, sweating & praying (& i aint religious)
    If you go down that road ask someone, maybe on here for a few pointers.

    g'day all i just got a HZ panel van shell to fix my HX up with i'm thinking of cuting the HZ up to use it for the panels and roof sections that i need
    any way we see how it go's

    mate in the exact same position. my advice, cool your heels. youll find a shell

    I have an HX that dosnt NEED a shell but its windowed which i dont like. It took me 6 months but i located a licensed driving windowless HZ 253 trimatic for 2 large ones. Its not rust free but its miles better than the HX.

    the roof looks pretty knackered on yours. Id definately wait it out and start with a better product. No point in tipping big biccies into a bucket of rust
