They are inertia type , they are mounted on the pillar probably a little bit above the back window ... If that make sense
For a HQ its had some modifications! (HJ-HZ Front) Looks to have the HJ-HZ dash also?
What is the chassis number? Does it match the id tags?
Its quite possible its a HJ-HZ ute body on a HQ chassis. (if the chassis number does match the tags.)

Yeah it has had a few changes, but chassis number matches to Id tag, also has a set of recaros
Bought this when I was 18 (17 years ago) and didn't realize that original was better, or maybe what it could be..
