Happy new year to everyone ours hadn't started off so well as our sons new Kelpy puppy was run over today. We only had her for a short time and all fell in love with her. I have not had a dog since my dog was run over when I was 18. Which re iterates why I don't get animals :(:(

Thats horrible. Condolences. I personally couldnt live without animals....whether cats, dogs or tarantulas. Animals have a way of giving unconditional love. I'll always have some form of pet to cuddle...even if it has eight legs
Alien I just can't deal with it I will stick to my vans and bug I am so bloody upset. I can't believe. Won't see her little face in the morning waiting to be let out of the laundry

Jen.....i feel your pain. But dont let a few bad experiences sour what could potentially be a life long friend and companion.
I had a dog for 19yrs.....my best mate, most loyal soul ive ever met......they cant be replaced, but theres always love in the human soul that can give love and care to another being......dont lose hope. Im always a better person for caring for another being. Hope you can bounce back and find happiness with another furry friend.

Happy New Year everyone. It appears I haven't logged on for 15 months. I guess life got busy. This is a great little site and I've told many people about it. Look forward to chatting to some of you and meeting some of you down the track. Maybe make the trek to VanNats this year.
