Not a fan of the ROH Wildfire then Max?[/QUOTE]
No, not really a fan. I had a set on a HQ ute 202/3sp in the 80s, & they looked fine on it...But it wasn't a $35k car
Forgot to mention they have a set of original near mint condition sandman rims with tires.
$30,000 is a bit more realistic if the body is as good as it looks. If it's rust-free then it's a good buy.
I'd definitely leave the 308 in it unless you are wanting a totally stock van, even then I see no reason to go backwards.
The GTS wheels will save you a grand if that's what you were thinking of using.
Get it running and use it and just do improvements as you go..... the best thing about having a cool van is getting out there in it!
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
HZ Jasmine Yellow Windowless Sandman, now being driven everywhere and is finished!
HZ Madeira Red Windowless sandman now Sold to Bigrob

1979 HZ malachite windowless van with 308 5spd, all chromed up and shiny finished and named "The Player"

Kim, stop posting and talking about my car I have not given you permission and your comments are not exactly what I communicated and I am a little annoyed of the mis representation.
Ahhh, the joys of selling. One of the reasons I've got so many cars.
I always try and see two point of views, and I think I can see why you're posting and also why the seller is frustrated. We all want to get good advice so we don't buy the wrong car, it looks to be like a fine example if not 100% original. However, I don't think you're going to get mint off the factory floor for 30k or ever 35k
So in my mind I really can't see how a new windscreen, needing few consumable items for a roadworthy / brakes / radiator really should be in the mix here. You're not buying a new car, it's a classic, keeping it on the road will cost you plenty more.
Going to lock this thread until the car is sold or the original poster decides they will not continue with the purchase.
I think it's a bit rich of members casting broad opinions on a car they haven't inspected. Happy for people to provide advice on authenticity, things to look for when buying/selling to help someone out but please try and be objective.
** Also I have moved this to the Lounge because it was already established it is a Sandman so no need for it to be in the Help is this a Sandman thread. All the OP is asking for is the value of a car.. answer How long is a piece of string.
