    Positive Feedback for Shannon's insurance

Well an unusually positive post for me I guess. I just got my WB registered after a long spell abandoned in the shed.
Happily it passed rego with only fault being a bad earth on the number plate light.
I rang Shannon's mainly out of curiosity and to get a CTP quote.
I got a comprehensive quote but expected it to be too expensive. They suggested the market value would be $5500 to $6000. Then they asked what I thought it was worth.
Anyway long story short,$400 to cover it for an agreed value of $15000. Seemed good value and they were easy to deal with.
Might be on the way up in value at last.

I have had similar experiences with them in the past also James. They covered vehicles I have had for very reasonable amounts, and were really easy to deal with. I no longer have interesting vehicles, that's the only reason I am insured elsewhere.

    Cheers.

I have three cars with them and all were about half the price of the others. Made one repair claim and had no issues.

I've got all my cars insured with NRMA now (which I thought I'd never do).
The Sandman is insured for $50,000 and the premium is $225.00.
The WB van is insured for $11,000 and the premium is $98.00.
The LC Torana is insured for $25,000 and the premium is $128.00.
My Clubsport, Monaro and Donna's SS are also with NRMA and were almost half what Shannons were charging.

    Shop around.....

Yep. Choice of repairer and first rights on wreck if it's a write off.

NRMA Classic Car Insurance. And it applies to cars 15 years old and older.

I didn't even give NRMA a thought. I insured with them in the past. No dramas and one theft claim with no dramas. Except when I bought my WB in 2000 they chucked a wobbly because it had 8" rims on it. They have changed their views on old cars that's for sure.
It does pay to shop around.
