I'm with Shannons and am happy with prices, but those NRMA prices Rob's getting are great...cheaper by the dozen Rob!

My old man can't insure his Sandman under classic with either Shannons or NRMA because he still uses it for work. He is a loyal NRMA member and has in comprehensively insured, but outside the classis scheme they will not agree to it being worth anymore than book value of $2,300!!

NRMA Classic Car Insurance. And it applies to cars 15 years old and older.
mate our equivalent is SGIO veteran and vintage insurance here. i got a quote to insure my sandy for almost half your vans value.... at twice the premium! they are criminally low premiums Rob. i wouldn't have thought they would bother with the paperwork at $98

Rob's rates might be monthly premiums. LOL

The prices I quoted are the real deal, but remember, everyone is treated differently by insurance companies. None of us live in the same location or have the same driving records.
I live in a rural area which has (I've been told) the lowest crime rate in the country. This may have some influence on the premium. My driving record is (surprisingly) pretty good these days and I'm also older than most of you.

All of these things probably explain the lower premiums.

Obviously they don't count Lobster or Abelone pilfering as a crime there anymore. :-)

Good point! That's fairly common here for sure.
No mate, I think they mean the kind that would influence an insurance policy like stolen cars and break and enters.
