You're not wrong. If you only showed the after photo's it would be near impossible to tell what had actually been done. Who's doing the panel work, or is he like some kind of superhero who has asked you to protect his true identity?
Look , out in the shed!
Is it a MIG?
Is it an English Wheel?
No! It's Sandmaaaaaaaan!!!!
Yes he is a true craftsman....we are lucky to know him, and appreciate that he has taken time off work to do this for us, there are not many people who are willing to do this sort of work out in the country...today we celebrate, he has finished cutting out rust, and repairing it....after 6 weeks...he only has the quarter panel to do (panel beat)....then off to be painted![]()
puting motor together on 22nd...so all up from here....starting to see light at the end of the tunnel so to speak....
Now the air conditioning is in place...there is a mess of wiring inside
The rust in the gutter has been completely cut out and now has undercoat
The roof is finished and undercoated
this weekend is motor rebuilding in Cowra, all the block is finished, and Rodney and our mechanic are going to assemble the motor, heads, valley cover, etc. I pass tools and learn a lot.....:knockout:
If you paint the AC heater box in the engine bay with black vinyl paint it will come up looking like new. I made a plate out of 5mm aluminium and put a thick layer of silicon between it and the heater box. It is the same size as the piece of insulation that was on it. It also helps to stop smashing a hole through it when you put the motor back in. ( the head hits it if you are not careful). Where the two screws with the big washers are.
