I've got a new job!!! Wow!!!

Hi Everyone

Well, after 15.5 years at my current job, I have been unbelievably lucky enough to realise an amazing opportunity. I'm leaving my current job to join Tesla Australia next month. Still can't believe its really happened as I'm sort of a technology tragic and been following Tesla on the internet for several years. Will be awesome to get stuck into things and be part of a company that I'm starstruck about. Ok, ok, I will always have a love for V8's and Sandman's but fair dinkum, this battery technology has got serious momentum.

Congratulations on fulfilling a dream,

When I first read it I thought you said Telstra,their glory days are over I think.

Might finally need glasses now haha.

I work as an Electrician/Linesman for an electricity distribution company and I think that Tesla batteries and storage capabilities is the greatest threat to my employment.

That's not supposed to sound like criticism because i'll instal some sort of storage system when I can afford it and reckon that everyone should look into it as well.

It will become like when domestic air conditioning became affordable about 20 years ago and everyone started putting them in, which isn't a bad thing.

Tesla is a very exciting company right on the cutting edge of technology. I was only thinking the other day that if they keep progressing technology at the rate they currently are I will be out of a job long before im allowed to retire at 70 or will it be 75 by then.

As much as I love my V8's and ICE's , if I had the money half of my fleet would be converted to electric. Had a ride in a Tesla last month and what a machine!
