yeah ive used alloy gear Rob. i gave it an ever so light tap with a rubber mallet and you could see the teeth on cam gear sheer slightly on the crank gear so meshing I reckon is an issue. i like the idea of oil or grease which i haven't tried yet on the cam gear. it feels like carriers are just sitting in bearings but I don't want to force it as I can't be sure

dizzy, oil and fuel pump are out. i'm at my wits end. it was supposed to be a cake walk and has turned into a real saga
