Chassis can be straightened by a good old school panel shop, body is repairable using panels from donor ute supplied. It is a Brisbane built XX7 HJ so no question it is a Sandman. Owner says engine is original to car which is rare to find if true. It is missing a lot so is worth parts only and a little on top for Sandman status..... I'd say no more than $4000 and that would be top dollar for it...
Definately worth restoring if the price is right..... Sandmans are still going up in value and there is a demand for good proven heritage examples. Factory 308 4sp and Jade Green just adds icing to the cake.
The rear guards look ok to me, still have the HJ stripes so doubt they have been messed with.... A pity someone has hacked into the cowl and pillars but it all is repairable.
