I totally agree with the quick flip you mention Play...recently a chap bought a genuine sandman from a farmer, who lives west of here as he said he "genuinely wanted to restore it", and "all he ever wanted was a sandman", when he got us to verify it, (he was from Forbes) we told him it didn't have a matching chassis. I know what he paid for it (very little) and he sold it for $6K, now the next buyer is trying to sell of $7K they also phoned us and Rodney spoke to them regarding this issue, it was obviously in a prang in the 80's and didn't get a police stamp, there is no number at all on it. anyway point being I think that people who think they can make a quick buck usually can't.... The original guy should have restored it, and enjoyed it, as he was virtually given it by the farmer...anyway I can sleep at night knowing our vans are loved, and restored, and only re-homed when absolutely necessary.
