Yeah, I'm one of the older Vombil, being 48 this year, but there's a few of us still doing it around the 50 mark while we still can. Hurts more but sort of keeps you young, if that makes any sense..!

I've joined the local sporting car club and participate in lap dashes and hill climbs in my region.
Not that competitive in my class because my car falls into categories that puts it up against WRX's and EVO's, and my car is pretty standard engine wise, but nonetheless, I still have great fun.
Weapon of choice, 93 Liberty RS Turbo.

Hey Gngbng where do you race at and what classes are there?

I race at Oakburn Park, Tamworth, and I will be participating in the Gunnedah Hill climb (Porcupine Lookout), which has been postponed till August due to a new surface having not yet settled.
Armidale also hold motorkhana events at their skid pan.
The classes depend on your car, engine size, turbo or n/a, registered or not, front, rear or all wheel drive. Its all CAMS registered events.

Just looked at this on the weekend. Ive been wanting to get a track bike for ages. We've got the Hidden valley circuit up here. Hyosung 650, I've never road raced before. I had been looking at 600 super sports but that might have been a bit much.

My major hobby is work where i operate an electric rope shovel. Days off are spent tinkering with the wife's torana, fixing the kids bikes,scooters, skateboards, etc but the hobby i enjoy at the moment is Geocaching, i started in 2013 and only really got into it late 2015, its good fun to do and you get to see interesting places. I have thought about doing some gold chasing around Clermont and might even get around to it one day.
