    Wow, and we think old cars are expensive!

    I never thought a couple of old bottles would be worth so much... I used to get the discarded ones out the back of servo's, chuck away the tops and use them to store nuts and screws in because mum would go nuts if I used any of her jars....

    Went to an old mechanics workshop the other day the place is full of old oil bottles, racks, signs,tools
    even a couple of old fire extinguishers date 1952 and guess what nothing is for sale

    I have some of those I am not selling though. The kids have been told they will have a good inheritance and sell wisely if they don't like or want them when I have gone lol

    I'm assuming the tin topped bottles are the rare (and therefore expensive) ones.
    I have some plastic topped ones and some gallon tins in the shed somewhere....
