    General HX Info

Can someone tell me if my van should have a 3mm or 5mm thick spokes on the steering wheel and whether or not it should have single or twin horns.

My van is a 7/76 HX

    3mm spoked wheel is correct.

With the horns. I dont think twins where standard. Only an option? Was twins even an option.....?
So id say single horn. (id love to get hold of a sticker from a horn. Have only ever seen them on toranas)

after doing that steering wheel thread it raised a lot of questions i believe and we really do not know where the 3ml started and the 5 ml ended...so in essence you could say that both are correct for your car...
twin horns were an option but standard was single..

My 7/76 HX Monaro had a 5mm steering wheel and I'm pretty sure it was original to the car..... if it hadn't been broken I would have removed it for keepsies before I sold the car...

ah well that confuses me then.

Surly there was an ADR that changed the thickness of the wheel?

if there is jason we cannot find referance to it...spoke to dr terry and he thought that maybe steering wheel and column was an adr together but cant find referance to that either..:Chin::Chin:
i was raised to believe from the gurus that 5 ml was hq hj lh and 3 ml was hx hz lx etc...but of course once the internet came along back in 1998 then all the friggin parts books worms came out and started quoting dates and numbers from holden books...made it lots more interesting but opens lots of cans of worms...wheres that can of worms sean?

Thanks Guy's, my van had a shit after market wheel on it when I got so I sourced a good second hand GMH sports wheel and it is 5mm. The horns was just a question as I know SLR5000's had them as standard and I just wanted to know.
